Oh my, why would anyone pay real money for these? It’s like putting burning leaves in your mouth. Good God, I’ve brushed twice already, and still can’t get the taste out. What was my neighbor thinking when he gave me one this evening? Better yet, how drunk was I to even think they would be enjoyable? And I don’t even smoke! Maybe I’ll just drink a can of paint to kill the taste in my mouth. It isn’t any better drunk, which I’m very definitely am at this moment, correct spelling and punctuation be damn.

I occasionally smoke cigars socially, and enjoy them. However, the last time I was drinking, a buddy of mine convinced me to try one of his cigerettes, that he said, “taste like christmas”. I don’t know what kind of fucked up christmases he has had, because inhaling that cigarette tasted so horrible, and made me want to puke.

Get used to the taste, as it will linger around in the back of your throat for the next day or so.

I smoke real cigars now, but back in my youth, Swisher Sweets were the go-to smoke for an evening of partying. For fun, read the ingredients on the box. I memorized it. “These cigars are predominantly natural tobacco with non-tobacco ingredients added.” So, just what are those non-tobacco ingredients? Horse hair? Sawdust? I haven’t had one in more than 25 years now, but yes, they really are horrible. If you’re going to smoke and drink, it’s better to go to your local cigar store and spend a little more on something that is 100% tobacco.

One of the worst experiences of my life was when somebody passed me a bong that had been packed with cigarette tobacco. When I hit the shotgun, I thought my lungs were going to explode. Looking back on it now, I wish I had killed the person who did that to me. Cigarettes are evil.

Cloves were ^ for me. I could never enjoy them. I tried them in HS, 25 years ago, and they were just gross. I smoke either a pipe or cigars when I get the inkling at this point.

My mother came back from holiday were you can bring back some cigarettes, cigars and tobacco tax free as long as it's for your own consumption. Well she couldn't find any Henri Wintermans Half Coronas or Coronas and thought in all her wisdom that some Swisher Sweets cigars would do (you know, rather than call me and say that she couldn't find any), my god as you say I tried one and I actually had to kill it after merely lighting it up. Of course I got the guilt trip from my mother that she thought it was a good comparison. Needless to say I binned them without her knowing and now when even she goes away she'll ask if I want any cigars brought back it's a resounding 'no' from me. She tries but sometimes she sorely tries.

When I started with cigars I used to have a Swisher Sweets perfecto occasionally and didn’t mind them, but that was before I got into real cigars. I’m afraid to try one now.

Years ago I was in line at the grocery store behind a crabby old lady buying nothing but a bunch of Swisher Sweets. She was bitching up a storm about tobacco taxes while the cashier was ringing her up. She ended up being short, so the cashier took one off, but she was still short (like 37¢ or something). She actually turned to me with her hand out, but I just stayed stone faced, so she had to put another one back.
